Frequently Asked Questions
BIKE RENTALS

Where do I pick up and drop off the bikes/do you have a physical location?

We come to you! When you book, we will ask for your address and confirm delivery details.  We do not have a physical store front.

How far can I go on an electric bike?

Our electric bikes get about 30 miles on a charge, but can vary depending on the weight of the rider.

Where can we ride the bikes?

We have a lot of great routes we can recommend that being said we get asked a lot about riding to popular wineries like DAOU or Eberle.  Both of these wineries are on very busy roads that we do not want our bikes on. Here is a quick list of where we do not want our bikes ridden:

- Adelaida Road (DOAU is located on this road)
- Vineyard Dr. (Opolo is located on this road)
- Highway 46 EAST of Highway 101 (Eberle, Vina Robles, and Robert Hall are on 46 East)
- Highway 101

What happens if I get a flat tire?

Don't worry about it! Give us a call and we will figure out a way to take care of the bike and get you on your way.

Do you rent bikes outside of Paso Robles?

Heck, yes! We love sharing our bikes around San Luis Obispo County. We currently deliver bikes to the following cities:

  • Paso Robles

  • Templeton

  • San Miguel

How is an electric bike different than a traditional bike?

Electric bikes have the same components as a traditional bike, only they have a battery that helps make the ride less tiring and more convenient. Our electric bikes have both pedal assist and a throttle. With pedal assist, you still need to pedal, but the motor helps you—especially on hills! The throttle is essentially your accelerator and requires no pedaling. More emphasis on leisure and less on breaking a sweat. The bikes have a range of up to 30 miles depending on how much assist you use.

I haven't been on a bike in ages. Will I be okay on one of your electric bikes?

Yes! Whether it's been a few years or a few decades, you'll feel comfortable quickly. We'll be sure you're confident on your electric bike before you start your ride.

I've never been on a bike, but an electric bike should be super easy, right?

Although fairly easy to operate the electric bike, learning how to be aware of your surroundings and basic confidence in riding a bike is required. We do not rent electric bikes to you if you have ridden a bike before.

Do you operate under all weather conditions?

We operate rain or shine and recommend you check local weather and prepare accordingly.

Do you have kid seats available?

Currently, we do not offer kid seats or bike trailers for children.

Do I need a driver's license or ID card to rent an electric bike? Is there an age limit?

You must present a valid ID and over 18 years old at the time of rental.

Can I ride the electric bike in the dark?

All of our electric bikes are outfitted with brake lights and a headlight, although we recommend you exercise caution while operating a bike in the dark.

What should I bring/wear?

Be sure to check local weather before your ride. Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a water bottle are our go to items. For footwear, closed-toe shoes, flats, or flat sandals are great options. Note, maxi dresses can fly up on the bikes.

Will I have room on my electric bike for my purse? Water bottle?

Our electric bikes are outfitted with bike bags to accommodate your personal items and a holder to fit any size water bottle. We encourage our guests to support local businesses and purchase locally made goods—and wine! Yep, your bike bags can fit up to 4 bottles of wine, and with the motor on the electric bike, no worries about the extra weight!
